Awakening Through Sound: Padma Musical Series Returns with a Poetic Easter Performance in Legian
A refined evening where silence unfolds into music, and each note carries the quiet promise of renewal.

There are performances that entertain, and then there are those that linger long after the final note.
This April, Padma Resort Legian invites guests into the latter.
Marking the return of the Padma Musical Series, Awakening – From Silence to Song is not simply a concert. It is a carefully composed journey through stillness, emotion, and quiet transformation, unfolding over Easter weekend in one of Bali’s most elegant cultural settings
A Stage Set for Reflection and Renewal
Held at the Plumeria Grand Ballroom, the evening begins before the music itself.
Soft anticipation fills the space. Conversations settle. Glasses pause mid air. And slowly, almost imperceptibly, the room prepares itself to listen.
Because this is not an event to rush.
It is an experience designed to be felt.
At its core, Awakening draws inspiration from cycles. From silence to sound. From stillness to expression. From endings into beginnings. A theme that resonates deeply with the spirit of Easter, yet transcends it into something more universal.

Three Voices, One Emotional Arc
Leading the evening is internationally acclaimed pianist and conductor Ivan Yanakov, a musician whose presence carries both precision and depth.
Having performed across major global stages, his artistry is not defined by scale, but by sensitivity. Each interpretation feels considered, never excessive, allowing the music to speak with clarity and restraint
Joining him is French violinist Ambroise Aubrun, a performer celebrated for his nuanced tone and remarkable versatility. Equally at home in classical halls and contemporary collaborations, his presence brings a fluidity that bridges tradition and modern expression
Completing the trio is Indonesian cellist Bryant Gozali, whose musicality has become increasingly familiar to Padma audiences. His return feels less like a guest appearance, and more like a continuation of an ongoing dialogue between artist and stage
Together, they do not simply perform.
They guide.
From Foundations to Awakening
The evening unfolds in two movements.
The first, Foundations, draws from the timeless works of Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and Debussy. Here, structure meets emotion. Each composition laying the groundwork for what follows, building a sense of quiet anticipation.
Then comes the shift.
Awakening – From Silence to Song.
A second act that softens, opens, and expands. From Bulgarian folk lament to the delicate intimacy of Fauré, and into contemporary compositions by Philip Glass and Max Richter, the music becomes less about form, and more about feeling.
It is here that the performance reveals its true intention.
Not to impress, but to move.
An Evening That Extends Beyond the Stage
What makes this performance particularly compelling is not only its curation, but its setting.
Padma Resort Legian has long positioned itself as more than a destination for leisure. It is a space where culture, art, and hospitality intersect in a way that feels organic rather than staged.
Before the performance begins, guests are invited to ease into the evening with curated food and drinks. During intermission, the atmosphere lingers. Conversations deepen. The experience breathes.
Nothing feels rushed.
Everything feels considered.
A Moment Worth Arriving Early For
With limited early bird tickets already released, the anticipation surrounding this year’s opening performance is quietly building.
And rightly so.
Because in a destination known for its vibrant energy, evenings like this offer something different. Something slower. Something more intentional.
A reminder that sometimes, the most powerful experiences are not the loudest ones, but the ones that begin in silence.
