Explora Journeys Brings Ocean Elegance to the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco 2026

A glamorous opening night aboard EXPLORA I marked the start of Monaco’s most iconic race weekend, blending Formula 1 energy with luxury ocean hospitality.

Monaco’s legendary race weekend began with a celebration at sea as Explora Journeys hosted the official opening party of the FORMULA 1 LOUIS VUITTON GRAND PRIX DE MONACO 2026 aboard EXPLORA I on 4 June.

Docked in the heart of Port Hercule, EXPLORA I became one of the most exclusive addresses in Monaco for the evening, bringing together international guests, cultural tastemakers, motorsport personalities and luxury travel enthusiasts against the glittering backdrop of Monte Carlo.

The event marked the second consecutive year of partnership between Explora Journeys and the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DE MONACO, further strengthening the brand’s presence during one of the world’s most prestigious sporting weekends.

As the sun set over the Côte d’Azur, guests were welcomed into an atmosphere where refined ocean travel met the adrenaline of Formula 1. Curated cocktails, panoramic harbour views and elevated hospitality set the tone for a night designed to capture the glamour, prestige and excitement of Monaco.

One of the highlights of the evening was a spectacular drone show above the Monaco harbour. Featuring more than 3,000 drones, the show created a choreographed visual journey celebrating Formula 1, Monaco’s iconic street circuit and the Grand Prix’s continued presence in the Principality through 2035.

The celebration continued with an energetic entertainment lineup led by global DJ Bob Sinclar, who brought the night to life with an unforgettable set. International supermodel and style icon Naomi Campbell also made a special appearance, taking to the decks with an exclusive DJ performance that kept the crowd moving late into the evening.

Prominent figures from the world of motorsport were also in attendance, including Mika Häkkinen, Damon Hill and David Coulthard, alongside senior executives from Formula 1 and Explora Journeys.

For the entire Grand Prix weekend, EXPLORA I served as an ultra-elegant sanctuary in Port Hercule, offering guests staying onboard a rare perspective on the race, complemented by bespoke shore excursions and a curated programme of exclusive onboard events.
