The German hospitality professional brings more than two decades of experience across Asia and the Middle East to the Nusa Dua beachfront resort.

Grand Hyatt Bali has appointed Sebastian Fischoeder as Hotel Manager, effective September 21, 2026. His background spans hotel operations, food and beverage management, and resort leadership, with more than two decades of hospitality experience across Asia and the Middle East.

Originally from Germany, Fischoeder holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University and completed Cornell University’s Advanced Hospitality Revenue Management Certificate in 2026. He began his career in 2004 as a Food & Beverage Intern at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo before joining Hyatt Regency Incheon in South Korea.

His time at Hyatt Regency Incheon gave him more than a decade of experience in food and beverage management. In 2016, he became Director of Food & Beverage at Park Hyatt Seoul, continuing his career within the Hyatt portfolio.

Fischoeder moved to HDC Resort Wonju in 2017, where his responsibilities expanded from General Manager to Corporate Resort Division Director and Cluster General Manager. Most recently, he served as Director of Operations at Shebara, part of Red Sea Global Hospitality in Saudi Arabia.

At Grand Hyatt Bali, he joins a beachfront property whose gardens, lakes, and lagoons have been part of the Nusa Dua landscape since its opening in 1991. Conceived as a water palace, the resort comprises 636 rooms and suites and two villas, alongside a range of dining venues, swimming pools, recreational facilities, and family activities. Its 24 meeting rooms also accommodate business gatherings and events.

Commenting on the appointment, Fischoeder expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to join the resort’s team. He highlighted Grand Hyatt Bali’s established reputation for hospitality and guest experiences, and his intention to work with colleagues to further develop its offerings.

His approach to leadership centers on maintaining a positive outlook and directing energy toward matters within his control. In his new role, he also aims to support a positive working environment for colleagues, reflecting Hyatt’s emphasis on caring for people.

Outside work, Fischoeder enjoys running and diving. His appointment brings experience from both city hotels and resort operations to Grand Hyatt Bali as the property continues to develop its guest experience in Nusa Dua.
