ICON BALI Earns Silver at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2026
The Sanur beachfront destination receives international recognition for a retail concept that brings together contemporary design, tourism, community, and Balinese cultural identity.
ICON BALI has received the Silver Award in the Retail Category at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2026, placing the Sanur destination among internationally recognized property developments from around the world.
The award was presented on 11 June 2026 at Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria. ICON BALI was the only retail project representing Bali and Indonesia at the event, following its earlier recognition as the Gold Winner in the Retail Category at the FIABCI Indonesia – REI Excellence Awards 2025.
Widely regarded as one of the property industry’s most respected international competitions, the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards assesses national winners across a broad set of criteria, including concept, development, architecture, financial management, innovation, technology, sustainability, and community impact.
For ICON BALI, the recognition reflects a vision that places local identity at the center of a contemporary retail destination. “For us, this award is also a recognition of a concept that carries Bali’s local wisdom, culture, and identity and is able to gain recognition on the global stage,” said Heru Nasution, President Director of PT Grha Hatten Duasatu.
Located in the heart of Sanur, ICON BALI combines retail, dining, entertainment, cultural attractions, and beachfront leisure within a single integrated destination. The development features more than 32,000 square meters of leasable area and over 200 tenants, serving both local residents and visitors from around the world.
Its architecture draws from Bali’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, reinterpreting traditional design elements through a contemporary lens. Open public spaces and direct access to the beachfront give the development a strong sense of place, positioning it as more than a conventional shopping center.
The Silver Award acknowledges ICON BALI’s ambition to define a culture-led model of retail tourism, one that demonstrates how Indonesian developments can compete alongside leading international projects while remaining rooted in local values.
During the award presentation at ICON BALI, Ida Bagus Rai Budarsa, President Commissioner of PT Grha Hatten Duasatu, dedicated the achievement to the Provincial Government of Bali, the Denpasar City Government, and the people of Bali, recognizing their role in the destination’s journey and growth.
Looking ahead, ICON BALI plans to continue developing experiences that connect retail, culture, tourism, and community while presenting a contemporary expression of Bali to a global audience.
