The experience begins with penglukatan at Sebatu Penglukatan, a Balinese purification ritual using sacred spring water. Within local Hindu belief, the waters are associated with purification and healing, creating a symbolic starting point focused on releasing what the body and mind no longer need.

From there, guests continue to Pura Agung Gunung Raung, a sacred site closely associated with the spiritual journey of Rsi Markandeya. The focus shifts from purification to understanding, exploring dharma, intention, perseverance and one’s own inner path. Local tradition identifies the temple and the surrounding Taro landscape as significant points within the story of Rsi Markandeya’s journey through Bali.

The route then moves through terraced agricultural land and the Subak landscape, where the relationship between water, land and community offers a tangible expression of Tri Hita Karana. Here, water acts as a connecting thread between nature, community and the sacred.

The journey concludes at Semara Ratih Penglukatan, where two natural water sources meet. Local tradition associates the site with harmony, affection and inner peace, drawing on Semara and Ratih as symbols of love and union. The final purification becomes a moment of reflection on complementary energies within the self and a more compassionate relationship with oneself.

Pravi’s opening also introduces a broader wellness programme across Cicada Resort Bali Ubud.
