A Taste of Italy Arrives in the Ubud Highlands with Amerta’s Four Hands Culinary Series
This July, Amerta at Anantara Ubud Bali Resort invites diners to travel through Italy’s rich culinary landscape without leaving the serene highlands of Payangan.
The series brings together three Italian chefs, each carrying a distinct culinary voice shaped by heritage, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for regional traditions. At the heart of the experience is Executive Chef Gianni Stargiotti, whose philosophy moves gracefully between the past, present, and future. With more than 35 years of international experience across Europe and Asia, Chef Gianni continues to create dining moments that connect flavour, place, and memory.
On 3, 10, and 17 July 2026, Chef Gianni will collaborate with Chef Alessandro De Boni, an Italian chef and restaurateur whose journey has taken him across Italy, Spain, Switzerland, England, and Indonesia. Known for his dedication to artisan techniques and honest flavours, Chef Alessandro brings a grounded expression of Italian cooking, where quality ingredients and traditional methods speak with quiet confidence.
The journey continues on 24 and 31 July 2026 with Chef Gianluca Visciglia, whose cuisine draws inspiration from Northern Italy, the rolling hills of Tuscany, and his family roots in Southern Italy. With more than two decades of experience in luxury hospitality and collaborations with Michelin-starred and celebrity chefs, Chef Gianluca brings a refined interpretation of Italy’s regional diversity to Amerta.

“Italian cuisine is deeply connected to memories, generosity and a sense of place,” says Chef Gianni Stargiotti, Executive Chef of Anantara Ubud Bali Resort. “This series is an opportunity to share the flavours of our homeland and invite guests to discover the stories, traditions and regional influences that make Italian cuisine so special.”
Inspired by Anantara’s spirit of meaningful journeys and genuine connection, each evening is designed as more than a dinner. It is an invitation to experience Italy through the lens of three chefs, where every plate carries a story of tradition, landscape, and belonging, all while remaining rooted in the peaceful atmosphere of Payangan.
A Curated Four Hands Culinary Series will take place every Friday in July at Amerta Restaurant, from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm. The six-course dinner is priced at IDR 900,000++ per person, with limited seating available.
