In celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day, Tangelo Bali at Cicada Resort Bali Ubud, Autograph Collection presents From Our Island, To Our Table, a new culinary experience dedicated to the traditions, recipes, and flavors passed down through generations across Indonesia.
Taking place on August 17, 2026, the journey begins close to home with Babi Guling Pasah Bu Minil, a cherished culinary tradition from Sebatu that has been part of Bali’s food heritage since 1996. More than a familiar Balinese dish, its story is rooted in family, community, and a tradition carefully preserved through time.
The name Pasah refers to a particular day within the traditional Balinese calendar cycle. Following this rhythm, Babi Guling Pasah Bu Minil is traditionally prepared and served once every three days—connecting the food not only to place, but also to the cadence of local life.
Through From Our Island, To Our Table, Tangelo Bali brings this Sebatu tradition into its dining experience while remaining respectful of its original identity and heritage. Each serving reflects the knowledge, dedication, and time-honored techniques that have shaped Babi Guling Pasah Bu Minil across generations.
Set within the peaceful surroundings of Cicada Resort Bali Ubud, the experience brings together treasured local flavors, generational recipes, and the warmth of shared dining. It also reflects the resort’s connection to Sebatu and Tegallalang, where nature, Balinese culture, and local wisdom form an integral part of the guest experience.
