BALI, Indonesia – June 2025 – Six Senses Uluwatu is proud to welcome Armand Thieblemont as the newly appointed Director of Sustainability, effective June 1, 2025. In addition to this role, Armand has also been named Regional Sustainability Director, where he will oversee and support sustainability efforts across Six Senses properties in Bali, operating from his new base at Six Senses Uluwatu.

Originally from France and raised across Asia, Armand’s early years were shaped by a life closely connected to nature and farming on his grandparents’ land. A passionate diver and committed environmentalist, a life-changing dive in Nusa Penida — where he encountered Manta Rays swimming through plastic waste — inspired his mission to drive change in the hospitality industry. This pivotal experience led him to begin his journey in hospitality in Indonesia, later joining Six Senses Zighy Bay in 2022 as Sustainability Director.

Throughout his career, Armand has demonstrated visionary leadership and a deep sense of purpose, contributing significantly to the group’s sustainability roadmap. His work has been instrumental in major projects, such as the successful launch of Six Senses Kyoto and the revitalization of Six Senses Shaharut, further advancing the brand’s goal of regenerative travel and conscious hospitality.

In his expanded role at Six Senses Uluwatu, Armand will spearhead the resort’s sustainability initiatives, from environmental programs to local community engagement. His forward-thinking approach will help deepen the resort’s positive impact in Bali and strengthen its role as a leader in sustainable tourism.
