As golden hour settles over the cliffs of Uluwatu, Batique Bar at Alila Villas Uluwatu prepares to host an evening shaped by flavor, storytelling, and creative connection. On Friday, 12 June 2026, the bar welcomes KAWI Ubud for a special collaboration titled “Sip, Share, Discover,” presented as part of Indonesia’s Finest Bar Series.
For one night only, two distinctive talents in Indonesia’s cocktail scene will come together behind the bar. Bagus Aribowo of KAWI Ubud will join Sapta of Batique Bar, Alila Villas Uluwatu, in a collaboration that brings together heritage, technique, and a contemporary interpretation of Indonesian ingredients.
Known as one of Indonesia’s leading cocktail destinations, KAWI Ubud has continued to shape the island’s evolving bar culture through a philosophy rooted in storytelling. Each creation reflects the richness of Indonesia’s heritage, translated through a thoughtful modern lens. At the center of the collaboration is Bagus Aribowo, a culinary driven bartender whose work blends Indonesian tradition with the precision and quiet discipline of Japanese bartending. Through his signature KAWI cocktails, guests will be invited to explore compositions that feel bold, balanced, and deeply connected to place.
Alongside him, Sapta brings the creative spirit of Batique Bar into the experience. As a Top 8 Finalist of World Class Diageo Indonesia, Sapta is known for transforming Indonesia’s diverse ingredients and traditions into refined cocktail artistry. His approach at Batique extends beyond the glass, creating drinks that move with craftsmanship, emotion, and a strong sense of origin.
Together, Bagus and Sapta will present an immersive cocktail experience where each pour becomes a dialogue between two creative perspectives. The evening is also supported by Karusotju, whose curated beverage selections and promotional support add another layer to the guest journey.
More than a bar takeover, “Sip, Share, Discover” is designed as an elevated social ritual. It brings together in house guests, Bali’s discerning social crowd, and the Barhopers community in a setting that blends coastal serenity with expressive cocktail culture.
