TanaDewa Resort Ubud Bali Completes Melaspas and Mecaru Ceremony for 14 New Villas
TanaDewa Resort Ubud Bali by Cross Collection marks a meaningful milestone with the completion and blessing of 14 newly developed villas through a traditional Melaspas and Mecaru ceremony in Ubud.
TanaDewa Resort Ubud Bali by Cross Collection has completed a Melaspas and Mecaru ceremony to mark the blessing of 14 newly developed villas within the resort. Held at the property in Banjar Kengetan, Desa Singakerta, Ubud, the ceremony was attended by traditional leaders, members of the local community, representatives of local authorities, the Corporate Team of Sono Hotels & Resorts from Bangkok and Indonesia, and the TanaDewa team.
The Melaspas and Mecaru ceremony holds an important place in Balinese Hindu tradition. It is performed to purify a newly completed building while seeking harmony, safety, and balance with the surrounding environment. For TanaDewa Resort Ubud Bali, the ceremony reflects the resort’s respect for local cultural values and its commitment to preserving the traditions of the community in which it operates.
The addition of 14 new villas also marks an important step in the resort’s ongoing development. Before the expansion, TanaDewa Resort Ubud Bali operated seven villas, which limited its ability to accommodate increasing demand from guests and travel partners seeking private villa accommodation in Ubud.
Ricky Subrata, President Director of PT. Bumi Pesona Mandiri, shared that the resort has seen consistent demand from travel agents and guests seeking villa accommodation at TanaDewa Resort Ubud Bali. With only seven villas previously available, the property was often unable to fulfil the volume of requests received.
With the addition of these 14 new villas, the resort significantly increases its villa inventory and is expected to better meet market demand while providing greater flexibility for guests and business partners.
The completion of the new villas represents a key milestone in the continued growth of TanaDewa Resort Ubud Bali. The expanded inventory strengthens the resort’s accommodation offering and supports future business opportunities across both leisure and travel trade segments.
The new villas are expected to become available for guest stays following final operational preparations.
